Power Paging from your Computer
Network
NotePage, Inc. has introduced NotePager
Net version 3, a full featured network paging application
for Windows that allows everyone on a network to send
individual, group, preprogrammed, and scheduled pager
messages through the network server.
NotePager Net supports group paging. You can send
a single message to multiple users by using the master
pager list on the server, the personal pager lists
on each workstation, or the "On Call" lists that are
specially designed to contact physicians and emergency
personnel.
Each user may create up to five preprogrammed messages
that can be sent with a single mouse click. NotePager
Net supports scheduled messages that can be sent at
any date and time, as well as repeating messages that
are sent at regular intervals.
NotePager Net supports the full range of paging devices,
including alphanumeric pagers, digital, cellular and
PCS phones, PCMCIA cards, billboards, and any TAP/IXO
messaging devices. NotePager Net lets you use up to
four simultaneous dialers to send your messages, with
each dialer processing more than 1,000 messages per
hour. The people on your paging list need not all
be using the same paging carrier.
The program maintains a log of all messages sent
from each workstation. Message progress can be tracked
from start to finish. NotePager Net supports "intelligent
paging", so recipients who are on multiple pager lists
will not receive duplicate pages.
Installation is a simple, two-step process. NotePager
Net's server software is installed on the network
server equipped with a modem or a direct connection
to a paging service. This server also houses a master
list of every pager. NotePager Net's workstation software
is installed on every computer that will be used to
send pager messages.
NotePager Net's capacity and functionality can be
expanded as business needs change. Additional pagers
may be added, and front-end interfaces for e-mail,
Internet, and command-line input are available.
NotePager Net requires Windows 95/98/NT4/2000 running
on a Pentium-class processor. NotePager Net pricing
is based upon the number of pagers supported, with
a 100-pager license costing $550. Prices begin at
the 5-pager level at $350. For more information, visit
the NotePage web site at http://www.notepage.net.
