While setting up NotePager Net and experimenting with its capabilities, NotePager Net's behavior can be most easily monitored by using the NPN Monitor program. This program is installed along with the NotePager Net server application. It can be started from the NotePager Net group in the Windows Start Menu, or by clicking on the pager in you Windows system tray (down by the clock), if the NotePager Net server is already running. In order for the NPN Monitor to receive status information from NotePager Net's modules, you must first enable its operation in the NPN Admin program. In NPN Admin, go to 'Logging' and then 'Settings'. Check the box labeled 'Enable NPN Monitor'. Now, whenever the NotePager Net server is running, it will send status and logging information to the NPN Monitor program.
